A c.1950s Artur Lang Special archtop guitar in natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.

Randy has collected German archtop guitars for over 30 years, with an impressive collection which boasts works by well-respected luthiers including Wolfrum, Huttl, Glassl, Todt, and of course Artur Lang. Randy has had this guitar in his possession for nearly 30 years.

This Artur Lang archtop features a maple neck with a 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard, with block inlays, and a bound headstock with “LA” branding. A carved spruce top, flame maple back and sides, multi-ply binding, and distinctive swooping f-holes. Nickel-plated tailpiece, adjustable rosewood bridge, wood pickguard. Schaller-made tuners and pickup.

Appears to have had work done to the neck previously, possibly a re-neck. Includes gig bag.
