A 1950s Framus Orchidee archtop guitar in red burst finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Part of Randy’s extensive collection of mid-century German archtop guitars.

A three-piece neck with a pearloid headstock face with three red dots, floral tuner buttons, multi-ply binding with a thick red strip at the edge, which continues down the 21 fret ebony fretboard with block inlays. The body is finished in a deep red sunburst with a carved spruce top, bound sickle-shaped sound holes, and multi-ply binding throughout. Orchidee-engraved harp tailpiece, non-adjustable ebony bridge, Schaller-made Framus-branded metal pickguard with electronics mounted to it including a single neck position pickup, volume and tone controls.
