A custom-made brown silk chiffon embellished dress worn by Donna Summer for an unknown performance, accompanied by images of the garment being worn.

A chocolate brown silk with marigold-colored glass beaded embellishments. This gown features a 40s-style bodice that draws attention to the natural waistline and features heavy surface embellishment at the neckline, shoulders, and hemline. The scoop neckline with short cap sleeves is fully embellished with glass beads tightly sewn together. The fitted beaded bodice goes in at the waist and then into a beautiful handkerchief skirt. The beaded hemline allows the skirt to drape and gather, giving the light fabric a fullness at the sides of the skirt. The skirt has four points that hit the floor which accentuate the dramatic asymmetry of the hemline. There is no label or size tag present.

This lot comes with the original auction house cloth garment dust bag.
