Eva Patay studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest under Gyula Rudnay. She later obtained a certificate as a drawing teacher. Patay initially worked in Komorn, then taught in Isaszeg and was then an art teacher in Raab from 1948 to 1955. In 1948, she exhibited as an artist; After her retirement in 1955, she concentrated intensively on painting. Patay was a member of the Magyar Kepz?m?veszek Szabad Szervezete (Free Organization of Hungarian Artists) and took part in their exhibitions at the National Salon. Her art was presented as part of a solo exhibition in the Fenyes Adolf Hall of M?csarnok. She also took part in numerous group exhibitions in the capital and other cities. In 197,7 she donated 130 of her works to the city of Raab. Palay's works are, among other things, stored in the Xántus János Museum in Raab, in the Blaskovich Museum in Tapiószele and in the Christian Museum in Esztergom.
