Description
Available here for your consideration is a pair of Sam Jenkins roping spurs. These single mounted spurs have overlaid engraved silver designs. They do have a small rowel with six points and a chap guard. Leather straps are attached. Texas spurs have their own style and these spurs are fine examples of that heritage. Place your bid today!
PROVENANCE: Earl Bridges estate. Earl was a well-known bit and spur collector and a walking encyclopedia on the history of them.
MAKER: Stamped SAM on left spur and 224 on the right spur. Sam Jenkins, Texico, New Mexico.
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer).
SIZE: The heel openings measure 3 1/8 inches, the band width measures 5/8 inches and the shanks measure 1 3/8 inches long overall.
