Rare Ancient Viking Raider Socketed Arrowhead Point. Forged for use in a classic Viking raid of over 1000 years ago, where Viking warriors, arriving from the sea, would attack a village & seize anything of value, often enslaving those who were not immediately put to death. Triangular point with cusped base & thin flesh-cutting edges, thickened in the middle for penetration of the leather armor of their opponents. A rare & fantastic piece of history. 2 7/8" length in excavated condition. Displayed in a small 3 1/2" square museum case.
