Originally retailed by W.M. Wilson & Son, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This pitcher without maker's mark relates direclty to the fully marked Whiting example sold January 2011: Christie's, New York, Important American Silver Including Magnificent Tiffany, lot 66. The current lot is marked 813 duplicating the mark to the Whiting crab pitcher sold in November 2010: Heritage Auctions, Dallas, Texas, Fine Silver & Vertu Auction #5051, lot 68255.
