A VICTORIAN SILVER NOVELTY TABLE LIGHTER
by George Frederick Pinnell, London 1849, the cylindrical glass bottle with screw cap, within a miniature brandy pan with turned wooden handle, cap and pan engraved with crest and initials. 7.5cm high
Australian interest: engraved with the arms of The Honourable Edward Kater of Moss Vale, New South Wales, Australia (rampant cat between two snakes)
Marks clear and well struck. Sits upright, very slight rocking to base. Minor dings and light surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
