Lawrence Tibbett's personal collection of photographs and ephemera from his film career. Collection includes: approximately (35) gelatin silver prints 8" x 10", mostly double-weight, from a variety of Lawrence Tibbett's films; (44) primarily silver bromide, buff 8" x 10" double-weight custom prints (one of which is stamped and numbered by Clarence Sinclair Bull) from Tibbett's first film, The Rogue Song, for which he was nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award; Tibbett's personal copy of the original script for The Rogue Song (front cover missing, else basically intact though well-handled); and a legal contract between Tibbett and Lloyd Wright(son of Frank Lloyd Wright) concerning an early color film process which the two were trying to patent and develop. Stills are nearly all in excellent archived condition, with only a handful showing age and wear; contract is dated 1929, excellent condition, and signed by both parties.
