Item Details
Description
Noguchi style amorphic stone table supported on three wood legs. Table was found in the basement of a large 1920s estate overlooking the Hudson River. The original home owners were established New York City art dealers from the 1920s to 1960s. The table was found in the basement. The original wood legs were crumbling due to insect or water damage and were replaced by a conservator. There is some old water residue in the carved out bowl and some light discoloration to the stone surface that is consistent with age. The stone slab measures 47 3/4" long x 32 3/4" wide and 3 3/4" thick, and the table height is 16 1/4". The stone slab has 4 very small edge chips, the largest measuring 1/4" x 1/4". Weighs approximately 200 - 300 pounds.
