Wheatley Pottery radiator grill from the original Wheatley Pottery Showroom on Reading Road in Cincinnati. The grill features flowers and two birds of paradise along with open work to allow the passage of heated air. Items in the Wheatley showroom were carefully removed prior to the building being razed in the coming year. The grill measures 18 1/2 by 25 3/8 inches and is done in rich Arts & Crafts glazes. Condition is remarkably good with one 1/8 inch chip to one of the rosettes and an in-the-making firing separation at the lower part of the frame and open work. Unmarked but with impeccable provenance.
