Description
"Berliner Straße" (Berlin Street). 1930/printed later. Gelatin silver print. 17,5 x 25,2 cm. Signed by the photographer in black pen in lower right corner on the recto; signed, titled and dated in black ink by the photographer on the verso.
Gidal was born in Munich and emigrated to Israel in 1936. In 1976 he emigrated again, this time to the United States. Between 1929 - 1933 he worked as a photojournalist in Germany and between 1936 - 1938 he worked for British and American magazines. - Slight crease in lower right corner, minimal indentation marks, lower edge, otherwise in very good condition.
