2.5x6x.75" deep box w/colorful illustrations contains one of three different Abner animated watches, this watch is variety w/dial w/close-up of Li'l Abner and American flag that waves back and forth as seconds tick. New Haven, c. 1947. Similar box was issued for other watches, but w/text notation of different animated features. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and shows just lt. scattered wear w/a few color rubs. Slight fade to left side panel of lid. Box is Fine/VF. Comes w/aged guarantee slip. Watch comes w/original leather bands which show some wear from use. Metal buckle has trace aging. Watch is overwound but clean and numerals and hands still glow. Fine overall but dial displays Exc. Scarce as boxed.
