This Original Series captains chair was used as the stand-in chair while filming the visual effects shots that placed Dax and Sisko on the bridge of Kirk's Enterprise in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's episode "Trials and Tribble-ations." This was also used in various Paramount exhibitions. A replica of Captain James T. Kirk's chair from Star Trek: The Original Series. The painted wooden chair with pedestal and side consoles features simulated airship control buttons and black vinyl seat. The chair has had minor professional restoration by one of the leading Star Trek prop experts. This includes the replacement of 3 missing buttons and repainting the chair the correct color. Measures 41" x 44" x 37". Included in this lot is a Star Trek original series bridge rail piece that sat behind the captains chair on both the left and right sides and served as a single piece of numerous railings that circled the bridge of the Enterprise. This piece is made from wood with a square base and featuring two pillars on each side supporting a top rail section, and is painted black and red. Piece measures 40’x 12’x 40’.
