"The Motion Picture" Klingon D-7 Prototype Special

Item Details

Description

Klingon D-7 Special Effects model created during the production of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This ship was cast directly from the D-7 filming effects model used in The Original Series by Greg Jein to be used in the first film. It was decided after its creation that another Klingon ship would have to be made from scratch due to the high level of detail that was needed. Fiberglass painted light green with hand painted insignias and details on both sides. A repair is present just behind the bridge section where it attaches to the neck but is otherwise in excellent condition considering its age. Measures 20" x 28" x 7" tall.
