Condition: 1 or 2 marginal tears or repairs, some light spotting or discoloration, frontispiece creased and folded; upper cover detached, lower hinge cracked, covers abraded, rubbed and scuffed. FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. The work includes much commentary on the manners and customs of the Chinese, together with a second part comprising a general description of the Chinese Empire.
