A butterfly with blue kingfisher feathers,3.5"W, loss to inlay, 3 gilt silver plaques, a finial, and a base, loss to inlay, tallest 4"H, and 2 bird form items one possibly a hairpin with 2 large carnilian stones, both with losses, tallest is 7.5"H. All 19th C. Provenance: Duk Soo Palace, Seoul Korea 1951. Estate of Lionel Hayes, a sargent in the 10th Marine Division during the Korean War, when the Marines stormed the Duk Soo Palace and smashed the 100,000-man Red Invasion Army.
