Description
SAMURAI GUSOKU, JAPANESE ARMOR, MEJI PERIOD. The suit consisting of a Zunari hinero Kabuto in dark chestnut brown lacquer with truncated Koshimaki and four lame Sikoro, the last lame having textured gold leaf design, three 2 inch x 1/2 inch lacquer chips and flaking to one Fukigaeshi, no Maedate. A Hanbo with three lame Yodare-Kate accompanies the Kabuto. A Yokuhagi Okegawa Ni-Mai Do with five lames on front and eight on back, the Watagami with hinged Kohire in same gold leaf and textured design as Kabuto. Six sets of five lame Kasazuri hang from the Do, the last lame decorated with textured gold leaf. The lacing throughout is spruce green, lacing missing from first lame on front and currently wired together, other lacing in overall good condition. Two Oda Gote Kote with small ribbed Ikada, Hijigame at elbow, and four part Tekko with applied metal mons, with a pair of matching Etchu Haidate. Also included is a single Shino Suneate.
