From the Veracruz region of ancient Mexico, ca. 300 and 600 A.D. Huge and incredibly detailed ancient pottery head from an incensario depicting a member of royalty wearing an elaborate headdress covered with series of seashell forms, this area still showing much original stucco decoration. Realistic facial features with oval eyes, nose with single labrette and ears wearing two-piece ear-flares. 15"H x 13"W.
