(folio) 13½x9¼, modern half calf & boards, morocco spine label, raised bands. First Edition.Sabin notes that the work "is handsomely printed, and the plates are finely executed from drawings by Ehret," but does quote an article on the book in the "Monthly Review" which declares the book "of no value to the naturalist." Still, a fascinating overview of the many plants and animals to be found on Barbados in the 18th century. Nissen 950; Sabin 33582. Provenance: A Northern California private collector.
