An exceptional pair of vintage designer signed vivid ruby, sparkly diamond and glowing carnelian cabochon statement earrings in solid 14K gold.

A striking mirror image pair they measure 2 5/8" long by 15/16" wide (66mm x 23mm).

The glow of the red carnelian is amazing. They catch the light and are like embers. There is deliberate variation in color in these fine translucent perfectly polished gems. In total there are 46 of these beautiful stones weighing an estimated 12.0 carats. Set amidst the sensuous curves of the carnelian are vivid hot pink red sparkly natural earth mined genuine rubies. These exquisite precious gems are perfectly matched for color. They range in size from 1.8mm to 2.5mm and are scattered throughout the design for maximum visual effect. In total there are 1.4 carats of fine natural rubies in these bold earrings. The diamonds add the finishing touch to the pair. There are 250 of these which have been hand set carefully. These sparkling genuine earth mined natural untreated diamonds range in size from 0.8mm to 1.25mm. They are each perfectly eye clean SI stones and range in color from F/G/H. There is a total of one carat of diamonds in the pair.

This makes the total combined weight of carnelians rubies and diamonds 14.4 carats for the pair.

They weigh 17.49 grams for the pair making them very comfortable for extended wear.

They are marked clearly on the omega back earring fittings with 585 meaning solid 14 karat gold, this confirmed by testing. Signed "TD" by the maker.
