Pair of Cenedese Scavo frosted-glass birds, one with its neck in a upward position and the other in a downward position, Murano, Italy, ca. 1950s or 1960s; unmarked. The Scavo technique of frosted glass was introduced in the early 1950s in the island of Murano by glass artists in order to obtain an archeological effect of objects found underground after a very long time.
