Exceptional Arts and Crafts table lamp, signed and numbered "Handel 7686". The 18 1/2 inch conical shade has four acid etched curved panels with two of the panels being reverse painted. The painted panels depict a bright "Scarlet Macaw" in flight admist tall linear leaves that are acid etched on the exterior in shades of ochre and honey amber covered in a mother of pearl lustre finish. This rich finish emits radiant hues of golden grey set against a textured tawny beige background that resembles rippling water flowing across the surface. The stout unmarked bronzed base has a polygon body mounted on a foot simulating an Oriental wooden stand carved and pierced with scrolls. Height including finial is 25 inches. The support arms of the shade have been reinforced with solder many years ago.
