This piece was Monroe's personal property from her estate and relates to the cover photograph of June 1955 "Modern Screen" The work was painted at the height of Marilyn's success, during the same year that 'The Seven Year Itch' was filmed and remained in her possession for some seven years until she died in August 1962.
