Description
This lot includes 4 letters and an invitation to the 48th Reunion to be held in October 1921. The invitation is special because there are large crossed sabers and 1st Vt. at the top. On the reverse, there is a real special poem. The invitation is addressed to George W. Brush in Proctor, Vermont. Brush served as a Hospital Steward in the 1st Vermont. The 4 letters are from other survivors of the 1st who are in the process of applying for pensions and desire Brush to confirm their wounds, etc. We won’t take time to transcribe the letters… you can read them from the photos… but a nice “archive” for the 1st Vermont collector!
