西魏 石雕观音坐像
西魏为北方游牧民族鲜卑人所建立，其人强壮，面方圆与此佛像相似。此佛像头上有高髻，眉高而两目低垂，两唇合而含笑，宝相庄严。双足为跏跌坐，两手结印于足上。袈裟上的线条粗犷流畅，胸前有结带斜放于足前。佛像造型简朴而雄壮，此为西魏佛像之特式，存世极为稀有，难得之精品。
Western Wei, A Rare Stone Carving of Seated Guanyin
The seated figure is cast seated in dhyanasana with hands clasped above the folded legs wearing a plain monastic robe draped over his shoulders leaving the torso bare and falling over his knees. His face bearing a meditative expression with bow-shaped eyes and a plump mouth below a broad nose, all framed by long pendulous earlobes and smooth hair covering the ushnisha.
