Description
Billiard Congress of America Trophy won by Mosconi. Engraved: 'World's Championship Pocket Billiards 1952 Held at Boston, Mass. Won by Willie Mosconi presented by Billiard Congress of America.' Trophy stands 35 inches tall with three tiers consisting of wooden bases with a 25 inch gold-tone column at center with cup, globe & billiard player at top, (one handle of cup is missing). Mosconi won the first eight games to clinch the tournament before losing his last match to Irving Crane. An important piece of 20th century billiards history.
