Measures 20" wide by 10" deep by 7 1/2" tall (in folded/stored position). Opens to form a 14" deep by 20" wide green felt topped writing surface. When opened, it also reveals multiple storage compartments, and has two concealed compartments below writing surface. Includes an antique ink well. Lid has built in document retainers. Hardwood construction, with brass hardware. Recessed handles on sides. Brass wrapped corners for durability. It has a lock, but no key.

This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
