An important southern federal period inlaid sideboard, an original furnishing in the formal dining room of Gillionville Plantation, a 10,000 acre quail shooting plantation owned by descendant grandmother Louie Gordon Thompson, outside of Albany, Georgia.
Southern Federal period carved and veneered mahogany cross-banded sideboard, circa 1800, the bowed shaped cross-banded and line inlaid top above a conformingly shaped case fitted with a single deep locking drawer, flanked at either side by deep Cellaret drawers, raised on satinwood line inlaid square tapering legs ending in spade form feet.
