CIVIL WAR REGIMENTAL FLAG RELICS, WITH ALBUMEN PHOTO OF A UNION OFFICER
Group of fragmentary Civil War-era silk, wool bunting, and silver metallic fringe flag relics, cut from several Union and Confederate regimental flags. Includes three painted segmants of the flag of the 1st California Volunteer Infantry.The stripes of an American flag are apparent, and several white stars are present. Also present is an original albumen photograph, 5" x 8", a full-length view of Lt. John D Rogers of the 71st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, who was killed at Gettysburg. He is shown standing beside an American flag, with a saber at his side. Sold as-is. Ex: Bannerman's.
