This Group of three rare publications detail the operations, rules, and race results of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association. Included are the following:
1 - Rules of Racing, 116pp, National Steeplechase and Hunt Association, April 1948. This 6.75" binder was issued in 1948 to Robert E. Wilson III and is noted as such in the frontmatter. It details all of the rules and regulations as set by the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association for the 1948 season. Also included in the front cover pocket is Mr. Nelson's official credential tag for the Oak Grove Race and Steeplechase Association of Memphis, Tennessee. Certainly a rare and desirable piece of NSHA and Memphis horse racing history.
2 - Steeplechasing In America, 340pp, Compiled by the Daily Racing Form, Triangle Publications, 1953. A reference book on steeplechasing and hunt racing, containing official charts and other comprehensive and authoritative information, including complete statistics for 1952. Published expressly for a committee of National Steeplechase and Hunt Association members and other sportsmen interested in racing between the flags.
