French Henri II Style Carved Oak Marble Top Nightstand, 19th c., the arched carved backsplash with a shelf on bracket supports, over an inset highly figured peach marble above a frieze drawer over a cupboard door on turned tapered legs with disc feet joined by a stretcher shelf, H.- 44 1/4 in., W.- 16 in., D.- 14 1/2 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. Faint whitish circle on the left center of the marble (approximately 10 inches in diameter). 3 inch area of faint black streaks on the right corner of the marble. Holes from wood beetle exposure along the right corner of the cupboard. An approximate 1 inch chip at the top of the back right leg. A 1 inch chip at the bottom of the front right leg. One ½ inch, two 1 inch chips to the front left leg. Three 1 inch chips at the top of the back left leg. Scattered scratches and flea-size dents throughout. Two hairline cracks across the shelf.
