ALBERT PRINCE: (1819-1861) Prince Consort of the United Kingdom, husband of Queen Victoria. An unusual D.S., Albert, at the head, in his capacity as The Lord Warden of the Stanneries in Cornwall and Devon, one page (vellum), large folio, n.p., n.d. (1852). The incomplete and unissued manuscript document, was prepared as an appointment for a Special Deputy Warden and states, in part, 'By virtue of an Act of Parliament passed in the forty second year of the reign of his late Majesty King George the Third for more effectively raising and regulating a Body of Districts… and now in force we hereby with the approbation of Her Majesty constitute and appoint you the said [blank] to be a Special Deputy Warden with and for the Stanneries in the county of [blank]…' With the blind embossed paper seal of The Lord Warden of the Duchy of Cornwall affixed.
