GREENAWAY KATE: (1846-1901) English Children's book Illustrator. A.L.S., Kate Greenaway, two pages, small 8vo, Pemberton Gardens, Holloway, 19th January 1880, to G.H. Hayden. Greenaway informs her correspondent, in full, 'I would like to come on Friday, If there isn't a fog. And it don't snow. And if you won't mind my getting a train, at Farringdon Rd. at 8.15. I have to work so hard for the next two weeks, that I dare not get tired. Since I saw you, I have had a letter, from Mr. Ruskin. With kind regards to Mrs. Hayden.' Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Greenaway to her correspondent at the Bethlem Royal Hospital, a psychiatric hospital in London.
