Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, ca. 550 to 900 CE. Large and attractive pottery incensario. Tall flaring vessel with splayed foot, "wings" to each side and zig-zag decoration at top and Wind God or Fire God in high relief, mouth open to blow wind upon the land. Nice black firing cloud gives an interesting duality. Size: 10" L x 9" W (25.4 cm x 22.9 cm)
