Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, ca. 600 BCE to 200 CE. Gorgeous and quite rare pottery maskette with a human face emerging from a sun-like disk. Disk enhanced with added wavy sun rays. Twin suspension loops to each side of head in very high relief. Custom stand. Size: 3.5" W (8.9 cm)
Provenance: Ex-private collection of the late Peter Arnovick, PhD., acquired before 1970.
