Description
Central Asia, India, probably Rajasthan, ca. 19th century CE. A cast bronze standing figure of a warrior, with round shield and knife. The figure stands on a flat base and wears a turban, multiple necklaces with a large pendant hanging from one, and short trousers. The figure's features are highly stylized. An item like this may have been a toy or made for the burgeoning tourist/import market created by British colonial rule. Size: 1.5" L x 2" W x 5.1" H (3.8 cm x 5.1 cm x 13 cm)
