Description
Greek Isles, ca. 1300 BCE. Rare pottery cup in buff clay decorated with horizontal and vertical lines with wavy lines around rim, lower section in solid added bands of color. Interestingly, the skyphoi of this period seemed to prefer the two vertical handles as opposed to the horizontal variety that followed in the Geometric and Attic periods and later. Size: 5.5" W x 3.5" H (14 cm x 8.9 cm) to handles.
