Description
A pair of late Victorian silver pepper pots, each with foliate scroll chased border above an engraved crest of a sunburst motif, hallmarked Sheffield 1893, maker likely George Wish. Together with a small 1930's Irish silver twin-handled trophy cup with Celtic style border to spread foot, hallmarked T Weir & Sons., Dublin 1938, a pair of plain silver napkin rings, hallmarked Dublin 1924 and a further single example monogram engraved with floral piercing, hallmarked Birmingham 1914. Gross weight 9.49 ozt (295 grams).
Condition
All the items displaying surface wear, tarnishing, contact marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Also several dints and bumps, especially visible to the cup and pepper pots and mainly around the foot rims and to the pierced covers of the latter. Pitting marks. Split along the seam line of one of the plain napkin rings. Hallmarks mostly clear and legible with some rubbing and slight distortion.
