A large pair of Art Nouveau silver mounted photograph frames, the shaped oblong form embossed with a stylised waterside scene with lily pads, kingfishers and water lilies with later added cold enamel accents in green and blue with oak easel reverse and replacement bevelled glass aperture. Hallmarked William Neale & Sons, Chester 1904, patent 9616. Height measuring 13 inches (33 cm).

In good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wooden reverse appears restored. Minor creases and dints. Replacement pins. Cartouche vacant. A little rubbing to the definition. The enamel appears to be cold painted enamel, not vitreous enamel. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
