ENGLISH COPELAND SPODE MAY PATTERN CERAMIC DINNER SERVICE, LOT OF 74, comprising twelve each of cup and saucer sets, 9"x 9" plates with cut corners, 6 1/4" D plates, crescent-shaped side dishes; one 9 1/2" x 11 3/8" cake plate with pierced handles, one 15" D platter; all with scalloped rims and black transfer of pastoral and landscape design in center and "May" pattern on rim. All with black "COPELAND / late / SPODE / ENGLAND" (one in brown), most with impressed registration, some with additional impressed numerals and letters. Copeland Spode, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. First half 20th century.
