LUDWIGSBURG CERAMIC FIGURINE DUKE EUGENE: 18th c., Germany, porcelain figurine depicting, Charles Eugene (Karl Eugen), Duke of Württemberg (1728-1793), possibly designed by Johann Christian Wilhelm Beyer, shown enameled and gilded, holding his hat under one arm and a snuff box in his hand enameled with flowers. He wears tight purple breeches with bows, an long white waistcoat embroidered with gold laurel leaves and a red overcoat with gilded details which is crossed by a a green 'moire silk' sash. His finely curled hair is held in a bow and under his arm he holds a black tri-corner hat, underglaze blue Ludwigsburg back-stamp, 6.75"h.
Condition
Both hands have been restored and right arm with an old restoration.
