Description
Greece, ca. 5th to 4th century CE. Fascinating section of a Greek terracotta molding, either as part of an antefix or section of a building facade. Sweeping scroll pattern with deep groove, raised areas painted in added black - pattern similar on each side indicating this was designed to be seen from both sides. Custom stand. Size: 8" W x 5" H (20.3 cm x 12.7 cm), on stand measures 7" H (17.8 cm).
