Gorgeous Patriotic “LIBERTY” with Federal Eagle Coverlet
c. 1850 Pre-Civil War Era, Patriotic Jacquard Coverlet, “LIBERTY” with American Federal Eagle Designs, Choice Extremely Fine.


A highly Patriotic great looking American Coverlet made in colorful red, white & blue with two-loom panels, in the lower corners featuring Federal Eagles and the word “LIBERTY”. Two looms measuring 35” each, stitched together to an overall size of 70” x 82”. The top edge is finished with hand-sewn binding. Both sides have 6” floral border with 3” fringe which shows some slight loss. The bottom edge is unfinished yet with a beautiful 8” border showing Independence Hall and Tulip florals. This textile is highly decorative with red, white and blue thread, the white is a bit toned with the blue and red colors quite vibrant. A truly nice Patriotic Jacquard Coverlet for display.
