May 6, 1865-Dated, HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, front page measuring 9.75” x 14.75” (by sight), professionally archivally matted and framed to fully 18.5” x 23.5” under Plexiglas. This historic memorial issue remains one of the most desired of the Civil War era, if not the 19th century, as much of it deals with the Assassination and subsequent funeral of President Abraham Lincoln. The entire front page is a print captioned: "President Lincoln At Home. - (After) (Photographed by Brady).” which shows him reading a book to his son Tad. This very image was also used on a postage stamp by the United States Post Office. Not examined out of frame.
