Description
North Carolina Currency
Superb 1771 Issue Uncut Sheet of Three Notes
December 1771, North Carolina. Uncut Sheet of 3 Notes. 2s6d, £1 & 10s. Superb Gem Crisp Uncirculated.
Fr. NC-136b, NC-138 & NC-139. A lovely, fully original Uncut Sheet as made, including: 2s6d “House”, £1 “Bear” and 10s “Ship” vignettes. The notes all bear the same Sheet serial number, and are literally as clean, sharp in print and vivid in their signatures, as on the day they were printed. This is the last sheet of an original bundle, having the original bundle tie string still intact at top and a notation as to the bundle’s “value” hand noted on the blank verso and exceedingly rare, as such. If ever cut, each individual note should grade Gem to Superb. (3 note sheet).
