Description
Massachusetts Currency
Desierable June 18, 1776 Massachusetts 4s4d Note
Colony of Massachusetts Bay. June 18, 1776. Four Shillings Four Pence. Due Date of June 18, 1778. PCGS graded Very Fine-25.
Fr. MA-203. This is a rare 1776 Revolutionary War, small format, Contemporary Counterfeit type note. Undervalued as such and certainly an important study piece for most collectors. It has excellent originality to its paper surfaces, the blank reverse is very clean and the false signature of George Partridge is very clear being boldly written in vivid brown. Impressive, and absolutely missing in most collections.
