1934 Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow “WANTED” Poster
(BONNIE PARKER & CLYDE BARROW). American criminals who traveled the central United States with their gang during the Great Depression, robbing people and killing when cornered or confronted, their gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and several civilians.
May 21, 1934-Dated, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, original Printed “Wanted” Poster, Federal Identification Order No. 1227, measuring 8" x 8", Choice Crisp Extremely Fine. This poster displays a full description of Bonnie and Clyde, including their criminal records, relatives, aliases and other information current at the time. This Wanted Poster mailer is printed in black on heavy period wove light cardstock. A pair of central Photographs of Bonnie and Clyde measure 2.5" x 2" each. Signed in type at lower right by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. FBI offices and their telephone numbers are printed on the back. Wanted Posters for this infamous couple are a most popular collector’s item and this is a pleasing example.
