Description
Unknown Photographer. Diego Rivera in front of his Mural Project "El agua, origen de la vida" (1942 - 1957), Mexico City. Circa 1957. Vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print. 25 x 20,5 cm. Annotated and layout marks in pencil on the verso, hinge-mounted along upper edge to mat.
This image was used on the dust jacket cover of the book "Diego Rivera" by Hans F. Secker (Dresden 1957) which was designed by John Heartfield. - Some creases and writing from verso pressing through to front (only visible at an angle), otherwise in good condition.
Provenance: The Estate of Dr. Erich Frommhold, Dresden.
