Letter written and signed by Rabbi Meir Atlas, sent to Rabbi Shlomo Nosson Kotler. Torah thoughts regarding a sugya on Yevamot 119, regarding "Isha b'chezkat heter l'shuk."
Text on both sides of the postcard, postmarked 1921.
Rabbi Meir Atlas [1848-1926] was a prominent Lithuanian rabbi. He served as rabbi of Salant, Libau, Kobryn and Shavel. He was the father-in-law of Rabbi Elchanon Wasserman and Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski from his second-marriage. His son, Rabbi Binyamin Beinush Atlas, served as rabbi in Glasgow for over thirty years.
